Probashi Bengali of WA is celebrating Durga Puja 2019 on 4th to 6th October at MelvilleMainhall. Multicultura lextravaganza infused with Bengali tradition and culture. it also called Durgotsava, is an annual festival in the Eastern Part of India that reveres the goddess Durga. Durga Puja is the greatest festival of the Bengali People. It involves the ritual of worship of our Goddess Durga and the triumph of the Goddess
Durga(good faith) over the demon Mahishasura(evil). The festival honours the indomitable female force in the form of ‘Shakti’(Power). it’s an occasion for rejuvenation and reunion and a celebration of Bengali customary culture and customs.

5th October , Sat – 10AM to 2PM (Mahaashtomi, Mahanabomi) Cultural program 6pm – 8.30 pm followed by Mahabhog distribution.
6th October , Sun – 8AM –3PM ( Vijayadashomi, Sindur Khela)
