Google India`s annual Zeitgeist tracks major search trends based on online user search in India every year. Zeitgeist announced adult star Sunny Leone as the most widely searched online celebrity in the year 2013. Leone left actors like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan and cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar behind. The Indo Canadian and American actress has become a huge hit in Bollywood with her movies Jism 2 and Ragini MMS 2. She has enacted in several item numbers as Laila for the movie Shootout At Wadala and Pink Lips for Hate Story 2.
Sunny Leone was born in Ontario, Canada as Karenjit Kaur Vohra on May 13, 1981. She adopted the screen name Sunny Leone later on. Right from childhood, Leone was a great athlete and had immense love for sports and dancing. Her performances won her accolades and she basked in the galore of attention that came her way during her stay in Canada. Later in 1996 her family moved to Southern California and Sunny had a tough time adjusting to the new environment and making new friends. She was a young, charming girl by then and while in junior college, a friend suggested her to try modelling. She gradually rose to fame when she posed for the Penthouse magazine and was named Penthouse Pet Of The Month in the March 2001 issue. This was followed by several popular layouts in magazines like High Society, Lowrider, AVN Online, Cheri, Leg World, Hustler and so on. By 2002, Sunny Leone was one of the most sought after adult models.
Between 2004 to 2010, Sunny Leone starred in a couple of Hollywood flicks including Pirate’s blood and The Virginity Hit.
In 2011 she participated in the Indian reality series Big Boss where she declared herself as an American model and TV star, refusing to divulge her porn star status. During her stay in the house of Big Boss, she got the offer for the lead role in Jism 2. This was followed by an item number in the movie Shootout at Wadala and then again a main lead in Ragini MMS 2.
Sunny Leone is a fitness freak and takes out time for her daily workouts despite her hectic schedule. She has modelled for the sports brand Fantasy Fitness. In her spare time Leone loves reading, painting and horse riding to unwind herself.
