About Event :

Abhang is a form of expressing devotion and prayers through musical compositions sung in praise of Lord Vitthal (also known as Vithoba). The word Abhang comes from a for `non-` and bhang for `ending` or `interrupting`, in other words, a flawless, continuous process, in this case referring to a poem. The Concept of Abhangwari is conceptualized by the maestro Rahul Deshpande himself and along with the execution team of Vasantotsav (A 17-year benchmark festival in Pune and other cities of Maharashtra). The self-composed Abhang along with a team of 5-6 Musicians will perform and be a part of the Abhangwari concert thus creating this devotional atmosphere.
