About Workshop:

The new school holiday workshop from AIM is tailored for high school students with a passion for music performance. Designed specifically for students in Years 9-12, these workshops offer exceptional opportunities to engage in playing and performing music, guided by AIM’s experienced musicians and educators. Participants will have the chance to learn, rehearse, and showcase both contemporary and classic pop, rock, and soul tunes, benefiting from the expertise of Australia’s top music mentors.

Throughout the workshop, students will collaborate with AIM alumni and professional session musicians Gian Timothy Gho and Noa Kidd, honing their performance skills within an encouraging and collaborative setting. They’ll explore various aspects of performance, including ensemble communication, chart reading, rhythm, pitch, dynamics, improvisation, stylistic interpretation, and stage presence. With expert guidance, they’ll apply these techniques to craft a diverse set of songs in collaboration with their peers, culminating in a performance for family and friends.
