Vilen’s journey in the music industry, however, wasn’t without challenges. He recalls his struggles during the early days, when he had to navigate the complexities of creating and releasing music on his own.
Vilen’s first independent song, Ek Raat, released in 2018, marked the beginning of his music career. He admits that his main struggle was being completely independent. He handled everything himself, from songwriting to composing, and even the technical aspects like directing, writing the screenplay, and editing. This self-reliance, while empowering, made the process more difficult as he had no guidance and couldn’t share his struggles with family or friends.
In his own words, Vilen describes the process of learning all the creative aspects of music production as a “long struggle.” Since these were skills that couldn’t be easily taught, he had to figure them out through trial and error, which took a lot of time and effort.
Despite these initial hurdles, Vilen’s dedication has paid off. His tracks like Ek Raat (2018) and Chidiya (2019) resonated with audiences, and his most recent release, Kyun Dhunde, continues to reflect his growth as an artist, with a slice-of-life theme that adds depth to his music.
