Owned by University College London (UCL), the theatre serves as both a public performance space and a hub for student productions. In 2019, it underwent a major renovation, reopening with a 541-seat main auditorium and the more intimate Bloomsbury Studio, which seats up to 70. The theatre has hosted a variety of notable artists, including Adele, Ricky Gervais, and Paul Simon.
