A group of passionate desi comedians—who proudly remain a source of disappointment to their families—have come together to host Desi Open Mics in Brampton. Taking place on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursdays of each month, this open mic night offers a one-of-a-kind comedy experience in the GTA. Get ready for an evening packed with unfiltered humor from the self-described “impure souls” of the local comedy scene. Expect unexpected laughs and diverse perspectives, with performances in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, and English. Entry is completely free, though donations are encouraged to support the performers and the event. The venue also offers food and drinks, so guests are encouraged to support this local space that embraces the arts in Brampton. Details about upcoming shows and hosts will be shared below.
