Established in 1981 and named after renowned academic and theatre pioneer Professor Elizabeth Sneddon, this historic theatre holds the distinction of being the first of its kind to serve an academic drama department in South Africa.
The theatre is known for its intimate yet professional performance space, boasting a seating capacity of approximately 400, and exceptional acoustics that suit a wide range of productions—from dramatic plays and musicals to concerts, dance performances, comedy shows, and corporate events.
