The Hindu Religious Center of Northwest Indiana—also known as the Indian American Cultural Center (IACC) or Bharatiya Temple—has been a vital hub of spiritual, cultural, and social life for the region’s Indian American community.
Northwest Indiana hosts a thriving and expanding Indian American population. Over the years, first-generation immigrants and their descendants have cultivated a strong, close-knit community grounded in shared traditions, values, and mutual support.
What started with just a few families has blossomed into a dynamic, multigenerational community dedicated to honoring cultural heritage while embracing growth. The center serves as a gathering place for festivals, religious ceremonies, life events, and a wide range of educational and philanthropic programs.
