Named in honor of longtime McKinney football coach Ron Poe, the stadium is recognized as one of the largest high school football venues in the state. It has a seating capacity of around 12,000 spectators and features modern athletic facilities, including a professional-quality turf field, large video scoreboard, press box, and spacious spectator seating.
