About Event and Artist:

Ustad Rashid Khan, a well-known name in an Indian classical music Industry. He belongs to the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana, and is the great-grandson of gharana founder Inayat Hussain Khan. He is an innovator and has once created fusion music by combining Hindustani music with the genre of Light music.
He has contributed his voice in Indian Cinema as well like in My Name is Khan for “Allah Hi Rahem”, Jab We Met for “Aaoge Jub Tum” etc. He was awarded the Padma Shri, as well as the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2006.
