Established in 1959, the Baroda Productivity Council is an autonomous, non-profit organization affiliated with the National Productivity Council, New Delhi, and the Asian Productivity Organization, Tokyo. Governed by a managing committee with equal representation from the government, educational and research institutes, industrial houses, and labor organizations, it is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Registration No. BOM. 298/BRD). As a multi-activity, proactive, and innovative learning institution, the council pioneered the HR movement in Gujarat through education, corporate training, and management development programs, gradually shifting its focus toward Human Resource Development initiatives.
