Originally opened in 1991 as the Mississauga Central Library, it was renamed in 2021 to honor longtime Mississauga mayor Hazel McCallion. The large multi-floor public library houses extensive print and digital collections, study areas, community meeting rooms, makerspaces, and technology labs, serving as a major hub for learning, research, and cultural programs for residents and visitors of all ages.
