Hazel McCallion Central Library is the flagship branch of the Mississauga Library System located in the city’s downtown core near the Civic Centre and Celebration Square. Originally opened in 1991 as the Mississauga Central Library, it was renamed in 2021 to honor longtime Mississauga mayor Hazel McCallion. The large multi-floor public library houses extensive print and digital collections, study areas, community meeting rooms, makerspaces, and technology labs, serving as a major hub for learning, research, and cultural programs for residents and visitors of all ages.
