About
On December 10th, 2025, Slow Food Hong Kong invites you to Gia Trattoria in Wan Chai for a special celebration of Terra Madre Day, a global event honoring those who produce our food and promoting sustainable food systems. This annual Slow Food anniversary, meaning “Mother Earth Day” in Italian, celebrates local eating, agricultural biodiversity, and sustainable food traditions worldwide. In Hong Kong, the occasion will feature an exclusive dinner by Chef Giandomenico Caprioli, offering a specially curated menu embodying the “Good, Clean, and Fair” philosophy. Guests will enjoy a communal culinary journey through Italy’s regions, with dishes crafted from high-quality, sustainable ingredients, priced at HKD 600 + 10% service charge per person. A highlight of the menu is the Saline Culcasi Presidio sea salt from Sicily, harvested for generations using traditional methods in the WWF-protected Trapani Salt-pans, exemplifying the Slow Food mission to safeguard gastronomic heritage.
