The Flying Korean • A Piano Suite makes its Singapore premiere with a one-night-only recital by acclaimed pianist Hans Suh on 8 March 2026 at Victoria Concert Hall. Winner of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition, Suh is celebrated for his definitive Beethoven interpretations and debuts in Singapore with a programme blending intimacy, drama, and grand scale. The recital features Beethoven’s iconic “Moonlight” Sonata, showcasing its full spectrum from delicate subtlety to explosive power, alongside the Singapore premiere of Suh’s own Der fliegende Koreaner (The Flying Korean), a suite depicting a musical journey through New York, Helsinki, Germany, and Seoul. The evening also includes Brahms’s reflective Intermezzi and concludes with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, a monumental work transforming the piano into a full orchestral experience, performed on the legendary C. Bechstein D282 concert grand.
