Hailing from a musical family, Rupankar Bagchi began performing on stage at the young age of eleven. He went on to sing several popular songs for Bengali films such as Chalo Let’s Go (2008), Baishe Srabon (2011), Aparajita Tumi (2012), Hemlock Society (2012), Dutta vs Dutta (2012) and Jaatishwar (2014), winning wide appreciation from audiences. His growing recognition earned him the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2014 for the song “E Tumi Kemon Tumi” from Jaatishwar, along with the prestigious Uttam Kumar Award in 2006. In addition to his successful singing career, Rupankar has also appeared as an actor in films such as Ashchorjyo Prodeep (2013), Aam Sutra (2018) and Bidaay Byomkesh (2018). He was also seen in the 2019 film 17th September, directed by Amitava Bhattacharya.
