X Fest DXB 2026, presented by The Junction in Dubai, is a vibrant celebration of original short-form theatre centered around the theme “10-Minute Plays. Big Stories.” Hosted at The Junction in Alserkal Avenue, this dynamic festival brings together writers, directors, and actors from across the UAE to create bold, fast-paced performances designed specifically for the stage. Spanning six weeks from April to May 2026, the festival offers audiences an engaging theatrical experience where each week showcases 10 to 11 original plays in a single evening, highlighting a diverse mix of storytelling styles, emotions, and creative voices. Special segments include Youth Week on April 26, featuring performances by emerging young theatre-makers, and “Untranslated Week” on May 2–3, where plays are performed in languages other than English to celebrate the region’s cultural diversity. The festival culminates in an exciting Finals Weekend from May 22–24, where standout productions return to compete for top honors.
