ANTJIE KROG: MY MA 2026
About
In Binnerym van bloed: ’n Outobiografiese roman, the iconic poet and writer Antjie Krog returns to the Free State plains of her youth, crafting a deeply personal narrative that explores the relationship between a mother and daughter through a rich tapestry of words, diaries, letters, and photographs, with a poignant focus on the realities of ageing. In this engaging session, writer and journalist Ruda Landman will be in conversation with Antjie about this prose work, which blends humour, compassion, and reflections on her writer mother, Dot Serfontein. Guests can enjoy food and refreshments at their own expense, while noting that no alcohol may be brought onto the premises; the venue is wheelchair accessible with street parking available nearby. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the authors after the talk and purchase their books.
