The festival opens with a charming Long Table gathering in front of the Swartberg Hotel, where guests can enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere, live marimba music, and meet the artists, guided by Johan Rademan. The programme continues with “Afrikaans my Heart – Karoo in Sound,” featuring Magdalene Minnaar and William Berger performing beloved Afrikaans classics inspired by legends like David Kramer and Laurika Rauch. Audiences can also enjoy the refined “Flute & Strings” performance with works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, followed by an enchanting opera evening celebrating composers such as George Frideric Handel. The experience concludes with a warm and intimate coffee concert at The Showroom, where the Take Four Piano Quartet brings to life compositions by Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann, offering a memorable celebration of timeless music.
