Zakk Halle is part of the zakk – Zentrum für Aktion, Kultur und Kommunikation, a well-known cultural and event centre located in Düsseldorf. The venue is recognised for its diverse programme of live music, theatre, political discussions, and cultural events.
Originally established in the late 1970s, zakk developed into one of Düsseldorf’s most important independent cultural institutions. Zakk Halle serves as the main performance and concert space within the complex, featuring a flexible hall with stage facilities, lighting systems, sound equipment, and standing/seated event configurations.
The venue regularly hosts rock, indie, punk, jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music concerts, along with comedy shows, film screenings, workshops, exhibitions, and community events. Many national and international touring artists perform at the hall throughout the year.
Zakk Halle is also known for supporting alternative culture, youth initiatives, and social activism, making it an important creative and community-focused venue in Düsseldorf’s cultural scene.
