Babbu Maan, a renowned Punjabi singer, songwriter, and actor, began his career by recording his first album Sajjan Rumaal De Geya in 1997. However, he revised and re-released most of the songs in his subsequent albums. His official debut album Tu Meri Miss India was released in 1999, marking the start of his successful career in the music industry. In 2001, he released his third album Saaun Di Jhadi, which included hit songs like Chan Chanani, Raat Guzarlayi, Dil Ta Pagal Hai, and Touch Wood. In 2003, he wrote and sang for his first film soundtrack, Hawayein, collaborating with prominent playback singers like Sukhwinder Singh and Jaspinder Narula. Babbu Maan’s fourth album, Ohi Chann Ohi Rataan, was released in 2004, followed by Pyaas in 2005, which became one of the best-selling Punjabi albums at the time. In 2007, he ventured into Hindi music with his album Mera Gham, and in 2009, he released his first religious album Singh Better Than King, which included the controversial song Baba Nanak, critiquing fake saints and preachers in Punjab. This sparked debates on the growing phenomenon in the region.

In 2010, Babbu Maan won the “Best International Artist” award at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards. After an eight-year gap, he released Talaash: In Search of Soul on July 4, 2013, which made a significant impact, entering the top 10 of the Billboard World Albums chart. His 2015 album Itihaas and the 2018 release Ik C Pagal further solidified his position in the music industry. Alongside his music career, Maan has also lent his voice to Punjabi films like Waagah and Dil Tainu Karda Ae Pyar, and Bollywood productions such as Vaada Raha, Crook, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Titoo MBA, and 31st October. Babbu Maan has performed globally, touring across Asia, Europe, North America, Australasia, and the Middle East. His album Talaash earned him four World Music Awards in 2014, including World’s Best Indian Male Artist and Best Indian Album. Additionally, he won two daf BAMA Music Awards in 2017.
