Harshdeep Kaur (born 16 December 1986) is a renowned Indian playback singer, widely celebrated for her soulful Sufi renditions, which earned her the title “Sufi Ki Sultana.” She gained recognition at the age of sixteen when she released her first Bollywood song, “Sajna Mai Haari.” Over the years, Kaur has become one of the leading playback singers in Bollywood, known for her contributions to Hindi, Punjabi, English, and Sufi music. She has recorded songs for films in various Indian languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Urdu, and has worked with prominent music directors such as A.R. Rahman, Pritam, Vishal–Shekhar, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, and Amit Trivedi, among others. Kaur also made history as one of the few Indian singers to feature in a Hollywood film, with her track R.I.P., composed by A.R. Rahman, appearing in Danny Boyle’s Oscar-winning film 127 Hours. Some of her most popular songs include Katiya Karun from Rockstar, Dilbaro from Raazi, Heer from Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ik Onkar from Rang De Basanti, Zaalima from Raees, Nachde Ne Saare from Baar Baar Dekho, Bari Barsi from Band Baaja Baaraat, Kabira from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Jugni Ji from Cocktail, and Twist Kamariya from Bareilly Ki Barfi.
