Baa Tane Hun Kya Rakhu? is one such play with the matriarch of the family being subjected to abysmal treatment. The ending will leave you with a changed outlook towards life. Mangla Divecha is a widow with two sons and she shuttles between her sons’ homes every month, until one of them decides to move to Dubai. Deciding to move in permanently with her other son, she doesn’t leave his wife very pleased. An MRI scan of her knee shows she requires a knee-replacement surgery and she discovers, thanks to her son’s negligence, her medical insurance has lapsed. Now with no money of her own and her daughters-in- law refusing to help, she is left in a fix until a piece of good news changes everybody’s lives.

About Rohini Hattangadi
Rohini Hattangadi is an Indian actress of film, theatre and television. She has won two Filmfare Awards, one National Film Award, and is the only Indian actress to win the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Kasturba Gandhi in Gandhi (1982). An alumna of the National School of Drama of New Delhi, Hattangadi had worked mainly in theatre when she made her movie debut with Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan in 1978.
Some of her noted cinematic roles were in such art films as Arth, Party, Saaransh, Agnepath etc. Hattangadi has mostly featured as a character role in mainstream Hindi cinema after her portrayal in Gandhi. Respected for her acting prowess, she has appeared in over 80 feature films and is active in theatre and television
