Canada Chhath Puja - 2025

Experience the rich traditions of Chhath Puja in Canada at Ram Mandir, Mississauga, through a three-day celebration filled with rituals, music, and cultural performances. Organized by dedicated Vratis who observe fasting, this free event welcomes all to take part in the sacred festivities. Beginning Sunday, October 26 with Kharna Puja and prasad distribution, the celebration continues on Monday, October 27 with Sandhya Arghya (evening offering), and concludes on Tuesday, October 28 with Usha Arghya (morning offering) followed by breakfast and prasad. A traditional puja ghat will be set up, with all puja items provided and volunteers supporting the Vratis throughout. Spots for puja can be reserved with a $51 contribution, and community support through volunteering, donations, or sponsorships is warmly encouraged.
