Dinner with King Tut 2025

Join author Sam Kean for a unique archaeological evening as he explores what history truly tasted, smelled, sounded, and felt like. Inspired by his new book Dinner with King Tut, Kean shares his hands-on adventures with experimental archaeologists around the world—from launching medieval catapults and attempting ancient surgical techniques to tattooing and building Roman roads—all to understand the everyday sensory experiences of our ancestors. Copies of the book will be available in the gift shop beforehand, with signed editions offered during the event. Please note that, out of courtesy to the speaker, all guests must arrive before 7 PM.
