Indian Independence 78th Anniversary Celebration

About Event:

Dulles Town Center is hosting a celebration of the 78th India Independence Day on August 17th, 2024, from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm, near the Cheesecake Factory in a 75,000 sq.ft. area. This year’s theme of the event is a celebration of India’s rich heritage that will be showcased through its dance, festival, and food.

Anna Sudha Community Kitchens, a local non-profit and Dulles Mall tenant, is organizing this mega cultural event.

There will also be displays of the different festivals celebrated across India providing an opportunity for guests to become a part of a unique, unforgettable experience. Additionally, you can shop for products showcasing Indian culture, including handlooms, artwork , jewelry, and more. If you’re interested in becoming a vendor, refer to the FAQ below.

This event is possible due to the initiative of our Board Member Aparna Madireddi and the dynamic Nilima Rajesh.

We have mesmerizing performances from leading talents, such as Sangeeta Mathur-Simlote performing an opening act, along with performances from Masala Beats and the following:

• Nehas Bollywood Thumkas Dance Academy
• Thapasya – School of Dance
• Varun Chitnis

This event is hosted by Dulles Town Center and organized by AnnaSudha Community Kitchens.

While general admission is free, the following VIP experiences are available only with advanced booking:

$15.00 – Indian Sweet Delight (Recommended for people with no nut or dairy allergies)

Includes a boxed selection of 4 fusion desserts inspired from both Indian and American cuisines.(Bookings close on 31st July, Limited seats available)

$25.00 – Buffet

Includes a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.(Bookings close on 31st July, Limited seats available)

$40.00 – VIP Seating & Buffet

Includes the general buffet and several additional non-vegetarian dishes from all over India, in the VIP enclosure.(Bookings close on 31st July, Limited seats available)
