About Event 

Navaratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Durga. The word Navaratri means ‘nine nights’ in Sanskrit, nav meaning nine and ratri meaning nights.
Navratri in Gujarat is celebrated with dandiya, and garba-raas. Goddess Durga symbolizes the divine forces (positive energy) known as divine shakti (feminine energy/ power) that is used against the negative forces of evil and wickedness. She protects her devotees from evil powers and safeguards them.
The prominent story associated with Navratri is the battle that took place between goddess Durga and the demon Mahishasura, who represents egotism. It is in this form that the goddess was worshipped as the consort of Shiva.
In Newcastle it is celebrated with a lot of fervour with the true spirit of festival, bringing the community together for a good cause as a charity event and raising funds. Please be there early to avoid unnecessary rush.

Event Terms and Conditions

• Please bring the print out of ticket confirmation with you.
• You must present your e-ticket(s) with unique QR code along with valid ID proof.
• A valid student ID is mandatory at the time of check-in for verification
• Group entry tickets will be allowed all together.
• No Outside food allowed.
• No re-entry is permitted for the entire period of the event.
• Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in premises.
• Tickets are non-refundable – Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
• Booking fee will not refunded in case of event cancellation.
• If the event is postponed, hold on to your tickets until a new date is announced. Those tickets will be valid for entry.
• Customers who are not feeling well or feeling feverish are advised to remain home and rest, or to seek immediate medical assistance.
• Tickets will be refunded only if government change the rules around covid guidelines.
• Organizers or any of its agents, officers, and employees shall not be responsible for any injury, damage, theft, losses or cost suffered at or as a result of the event of any part of it.
• Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the site may be searched
• In case of any misbehavior/misconduct by any person at the venue, Event Organiser has all the rights to evict that person from the venue and no refund will be given.
• The holder of this ticket hereby grants organizers the right to use, in perpetuity, all or any part of the recording of any tape made of holder`s appearance on any channel for broadcast in any and all media globally and for advertising, publicity and promotion relating hereto.
