Soul of the Garden City

Soul of the Garden City unites Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. Sudha Ragunathan, the internationally acclaimed Carnatic vocalist and playback singer, with a curated ensemble of Singapore-based, multi-ethnic musicians led by Dr. Ghanavenothan Retnam of Bhaskar’s Arts Academy. This landmark performance blends the richness of Carnatic music with Singapore’s vibrant musical heritage, featuring specially arranged compositions that fuse Carnatic, Chinese, and Malay traditions. The programme includes a mix of traditional and contemporary works, as well as beloved local favourites from the Chinese, Malay, and Tamil communities, creating a unique cross-cultural celebration of music.
