Svetlana Zakharova - Gabrielle Chanel Ballet

On 8 March 2026, Dubai Opera presents a remarkable one-night ballet event as internationally renowned ballerina Svetlana Zakharova—Bolshoi Theatre prima and étoile of Teatro alla Scala—returns to the stage with MODANSE, a double bill produced by MuzArts. Joined by an exceptional ensemble of Bolshoi Theatre dancers, the evening opens with Come Un Respiro (Like a Breath), a ballet created especially for Zakharova by Mauro Bigonzetti and set to music by Handel, followed by Gabrielle Chanel, a powerful tribute to the legendary fashion icon, choreographed by Yury Possokhov with music by Ilya Demutsky and featuring more than 80 bespoke costumes by the CHANEL Fashion House. Blending refined artistry, expressive movement, music, and haute couture, this performance traces themes of freedom, elegance, and transformation in an unforgettable celebration of ballet and fashion on one of Dubai’s most iconic stages.
