The Resound Collective Dennis Lee Piano Series 2026

As part of Resound Collective’s 10th Anniversary, the ensemble proudly presents the Dennis Lee Piano Series (DLPS), a new concert series celebrating Singapore’s vibrant pool of local pianists alongside the country’s leading chamber orchestra. Named in honor of the late Penang-born pianist Dennis Lee (1946–2023)—a distinguished pianist, teacher, and advocate for chamber music—the series aims to highlight exceptional piano artistry in a collaborative orchestral setting. The inaugural concert takes place on 11 July 2026 at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Concert Hall, featuring two of Beethoven’s most celebrated piano concertos: the Third Piano Concerto in C Minor, performed by rising star Abigail Sin, and the Fourth Piano Concerto in G Major, performed by Lin Xiangning, accompanied by re:Sound under the baton of Yang Shuxiang. Adding a historic touch, the programme also revisits Stravinsky’s Concerto for Strings in D, a bold reprise from re:Sound’s debut concert in August 2016. With a total duration of approximately 105 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission, this concert promises an engaging blend of virtuosity, orchestral brilliance, and a celebration of Singapore’s musical talent.
