Bukit Jalil National Stadium is the largest stadium in Malaysia and one of the biggest sports and entertainment venues in Southeast Asia. Located within the Bukit Jalil Sports City complex in Kuala Lumpur, the stadium originally opened in 1998 for the Commonwealth Games and has since become the country’s premier venue for major sporting events, concerts, and large-scale public gatherings.
The stadium has a seating capacity of around 87,000 spectators, making it one of the largest stadiums in the world. It features modern facilities including upgraded seating, advanced lighting and sound systems, VIP suites, media areas, and extensive event infrastructure designed to accommodate international sporting competitions and global music tours.
Bukit Jalil National Stadium has hosted numerous high-profile events such as football finals, athletics championships, and major concerts by international and regional artists. Following a major renovation completed in 2017, the stadium now offers improved spectator comfort and upgraded facilities while maintaining its status as Malaysia’s most iconic venue for large-scale entertainment and sporting events.
