Named in honour of Croydon‑born actress Dame Peggy Ashcroft, the venue seats around 780–800 people and presents a rich variety of live performances including drama, dance, pantomime, opera and films. Fairfield Halls itself is a landmark arts complex hosting concerts, theatre, comedy, community events and exhibitions year‑round, and has a long history dating back to its opening in 1962 as a major cultural hub in the region.
