Originally opened in 1999 and later renovated with modern upgrades, the arena is renowned for its basketball-focused design, excellent sightlines, and fan-friendly atmosphere. With a seating capacity of around 17,000 for basketball games, Gainbridge Fieldhouse also hosts concerts, collegiate sports, conventions, and major entertainment events, making it one of the most iconic and frequently used indoor venues in the Midwest.
