The Greater Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre, now known as the Sydney Coliseum Theatre, is a landmark, world-class performing arts venue located in Rooty Hill, in the heart of Greater Western Sydney, and has quickly become one of the region’s premier destinations for live entertainment. Opened in 2019 and set within the vibrant West HQ precinct, the theatre features a highly flexible, state-of-the-art auditorium with seating for around 2,000 patrons, allowing it to seamlessly host major musical productions, international concerts, classical performances, dance, comedy, family shows and large-scale corporate events. Designed by Cox Architecture and delivered by Hansen Yuncken, the venue is celebrated for its excellent acoustics, modern stage technology and contemporary design, providing both audiences and performers with a premium experience. Developed to serve the fast-growing Western Sydney community, the Sydney Coliseum Theatre plays a vital cultural role by bringing world-class entertainment closer to local audiences and strengthening the region’s reputation as a major arts and live performance hub.
