Housed within the beautifully restored former Estación del Norte train station, which had been closed for nearly three decades, the venue reopened as part of a larger cultural and entertainment complex called La Estación. The space hosts a varied programme of events, including theatre productions, musicals, cabaret shows, concerts, family performances and other live entertainment, making it a key destination on Madrid’s arts scene. The historic architecture of the building — with its classic elements such as an imperial staircase, original lamps, and decorative details — has been preserved while adapting the interior for modern use, adding to the unique atmosphere of attending performances there. Depending on the type of event, the venue may be branded as the Gran Teatro Caixabank Príncipe Pío for theatre and cabaret or as the Warner Music Station when hosting musical concerts.
