Westgate Community College, situated on West Road in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE4 9LU), is a vibrant adult education and community learning centre run by Newcastle City Learning. It offers a wide range of courses for adults, alongside study programmes and apprenticeships for 16–19-year-olds. The site features a dedicated Skills Centre for vocational training, as well as social amenities including a café, free Wi-Fi, and childcare services like a creche. Fully accessible, the college provides wheelchair access, accessible toilets, hearing loops, and blue badge parking. Rated “Good” by Ofsted in 2021, it operates Monday to Friday with extended hours during term time and is easily reached via public transport or free on-site parking (up to three hours). Formerly a secondary school until its closure in 2008, the site now serves as a key hub for lifelong learning in the community.
