Set against the harsh and unforgiving backdrop of the 1852 Cape Frontier in what is now the Eastern Cape, Two Rifles, Two Revolvers and a Maiden follows three complex characters bound by secrets, survival, and shifting loyalties. Arend, a private in the newly formed Frontier Armed and Mounted Police, finds himself caught between duty and doubt, alongside Diggory, a fellow soldier whose hidden truths run deep, and Susanna, a woman marked by loss and mystery. With a band of armed pursuers closing in, the trio must confront impossible choices—whether to stand and fight or attempt escape—while navigating a web of betrayal and uneasy alliances where trust is fragile and danger ever-present. This gripping stage production rides into the Nassau Theatre from 31 July to 2 August 2026, featuring a powerful cast including Judha Davids as Arend, Benjamin Marx as Diggory, Kaela Van Zyl, Khulekani Kheswa, and Pierre Parrott, delivering a tense and immersive theatrical experience.
